You’ve got standard media keys, home, page-up/page-down, and even scroll-up/scroll-down all in the function layer.

Although the Yoda isn’t fully programmable it offers some unique shortcuts I haven’t found on any other boards. If you’ve never used a 60%, this is a great one to do some learning on.

I’ve also never had any problems clicking with the bottom three keys. It takes some getting used to, but it’s a very natural habit once you learn exactly where to place your fingers. Firstly, the reason you’d be excited for a TrackPoint is to keep your hands on the home row without wasting time moving to the mouse. Ive been fiddling with remapping in a Pok3r layer but have been lazy about finishing it. The layout, though not incredibly special as it’s almost exactly what you’d get with a Pok3r, is innovative and efficient. Although I’m not the biggest fan of Clears (I prefer Zealios over Clears, Greens over Zealios, Topre over Greens, and Buckling Springs over everything - but this is a discussion for another blog post), typing on this was still an amazing experience. I chose Cherry MX Clears as they were all the rage when I picked this up. Since these are normally DIY, you get the option of whichever switches you’d like. It’s a standard 60% layout with a few extra keys to act as the mouse clicks and for scrolling. These HHKB keyboards have a separate audience base as common keyboard users don’t likely to go with this kind of vintage layout but some true Keyboard lovers highly need these HHKB keyboards on their desks.The most noticeable thing that distinguishes this keyboard from most others is that red dot you see right in the center. Ive since switched back to the standard location for regular use and now it seems I can easily switch between both locations. That’s why the price is so expensive for the HHKB layout keybords. I had this problem with my BAE keyboards since I had made myself accustomed to the HHKB backspace (rebinding it on standard-layout boards). HHKB Keyboards are highly durable because of the materials they are made from, and most importantly HHKB’s are made in Japan which is known to provide quality products in all segments. It all depends on the user preferences at least they have the option to choose their favorite HHKB layouts.

One thing I would say attract most of the user is the Keyboard Layout diversification as JIS, ANSI, and Type-S Layouts has their own advantages. The unique bottom row thumb keys also give more control over the keyboards. HHKB Keyboard Layouts is certainly loved by hardcore keyboard enthusiasts due to its vintage feel, control key placement, and very less keys collaboration. The Pok3r RGB comes in its distinctive tiny keyboard box, fit for a compact 60 keyboard.
